Weapons are what a Mobile Trench uses to directly attack enemies. There are six types of weapons, each varying in firepower, range, fire rate, reload speed, and how many slots it takes up on a Trench's core.
Machine Guns[]
Machine Guns are medium-range, rapid fire weapons that are effective against most types of enemies. Though they are weaker than other types of weapons, they are the easiest to use. Their high fire rate makes them particularly effective against Knobs and Cathys.

Shotguns[]
Shotguns are close to mid-ranged guns that are effective against small groups of enemies and armored enemies. Shotguns are mostly ineffective against aerial enemies due to their short range and low firing rate. Unlike Machine Guns, Shotguns fire much more 'potent' blasts which results in staggering most Tubes when struck.

Grenade Launchers[]
Grenade Launchers are short-range weapons best for dealing with large crowds of enemies. Launchers are effective against most ground enemies and can be used against aerial enemies if arced correctly. They are also all considered "Explosive" weapons, meaning they can break the shells off of Breakers.

Artillery Cannons[]
Artillery Cannons are heavy weapons that are typically designed to offer high damage in a single big explosive blast, granting the potential for AOE damage. Artillery Cannons are effective against ground enemies and are mostly ineffective against aerial enemies due to their mobility. Artillery Cannons are characteristically found firing slow moving projectiles with a heavy arc to their trajectory.

Broadcasters[]
Broadcasters fulfill the role of a "flame thrower" with an Iron Brigade stylistic spin as they are close-ranged energy weapons capable of sustained fire; dealing damage over time rather than raw damage. Most Broadcasters emit an energy cone that will damage any enemy within it for as long as the trigger is held down. Instead of utilizing a traditional clip like other weapon-types, Broadcasters use an energy gauge (similar to a tachometer) that constantly refills while the weapon is left idle. If the needle goes past the red line, and the trigger released (or if the needle hits the end of the gauge), they cannot be used until the needle is back before the red line.
An additional unique feature of Broadcasters, as quoted from Brad Muir1 all Broadcasters damage values are their DPS measurements.

1 ( x ) Brad Muir:
"The ability keywords are more art than science! :D But I tried to make them intuitive… a Cluster shell explodes into additional bomblets that explode while a Cluster+ shell explodes into additional bomblets that explode into additional bomblets.
Broadcaster damages are listed as raw DPS!
I can look up the damage field numbers for you… there wasn’t really a clean place to expose them in our UI. :( The damage field is 10 damage per second and the shell lasts for 10 seconds. So it’s 100 damage total if something sits in it the whole time.
Hope that helps!"
2Unlisted Ability: Laser weapon that pre-dates the "Laser" ability. Functions identically beyond being unlabeled in-game.
